Buono consists of three Japanese girls - Momoko Tsugunaga, Miyabi Natsuyaki, and Airi Suzuki.
They live and work in Japan and so are not well known in other countries, although their music reaches the pop charts in their own country.
All three have a lot of experience of recording, and performing live; Momoko and Miyabi previously worked together as members of band Berryz Kobo, while Airi is a member of band C-ute.
Buono was formed in July 2007 as a temporary project, but they have been so successful that in July 2008 it was announced that they will continue.
Berryz Kobo and C-ute are still recording and making appearances; so Momoko, Miyabi and Airi still work with their old bands as well as Buono.
Momoko also is a co-presenter of Japanese television programme DogaDoga7.
